Match Registration: Applicant Professional Profile
Supporting NRMP Research Efforts
The Match registration process for applicants includes a voluntary Professional Profile section where USMLE scores and research and work experiences can be input. NRMP uses the information to create Charting Outcomes in the Match and other reports that provide a better understanding of the Match process and experience. Please support NRMP's efforts and encourage your students to complete the Professional Profile section during Match registration or later in the Match process.

Match Checklists

NRMP has created Match checklists that highlight the steps program directors and institutional officials should take to ensure a successful matching process. The simple, one-page format is easy to print and action items can be checked as they are completed. We hope this new resource is helpful! |
Policy Corner for Programs
Timely Tips and Reminders
As you begin the interview process, keep the following in mind:
|
What constitutes appropriate communication with applicants?
Review the Match Communication Code of Conduct to ensure you and your recruiting team adhere to high ethical standards and do not violate Match policy.
|
What information is my program obligated to provide to applicants during the interview?
Provide a copy of the contract the applicant would be expected to sign if matched to the program and all institution policies on visas and appointment eligibility. NRMP recommends you obtain a signed acknowledgement from every applicant that confirms their receipt of this important information.

You can always visit the FAQ pages on the NRMP website to look for answers to your Match-related questions.
