LO E-news Goes Weekly (but not Weakly)
|
We know that people are being bombarded by emails especially since so many of us get social media alerts in our in-boxes. To minimize our "invasion" of your inbox and to keep you informed of the most current LO news, beginning this week we will do a weekly newsletter and eliminate most all other "eblast" messages. The LO-down will be sent in the early part of each week. Watch for our new masthead in the near future.

Leadership Oakland is now accepting applications for LOXXVI Applications received prior to
April 8, 2015
will be given
"Priority Status" in the review process. The benefits of Priority Status include:

Best Taste of LO Ever?
Registrations are flying in for this year's Taste of LO, the 10th year for this wildly popular event. Why all the buzz this year? According to LO Executive Director, Chris Scharrer, LOIX, "I think people are keen for this event for a number of reasons. There are things that people have come to expect and enjoy from the silent auction, to the good food, to the outstanding networking; our County Executive L. Brooks Patterson will be addressing the group and he never fails to be a hit; we will be awarding three Leader of Leaders Awards this year to well-deserving Alumna; and we will be formally introducing the incoming Executive Director, Denise Asker, LOXXV. All of this is surrounded by the glow of our 25th Anniversary year so I anticipate a large and friendly crowd of Alumni and people from the community." Leadership Oakland Alumni Association (LOAA) members please note: This year we will mark your membership in the "cool" club by providing you with a "feather in your cap" (well actually for your lapel but you get the idea). Stop by the Alumni table to claim your feather. Haven't yet paid your dues? You too can be cool and get in on the fun. Pay your
dues before or at the event and you will be good to go!
