Nutcracker 2013
This year's Nutcracker was extremely well received and we wish to thank each and every performer, musician, conductor, singer, volunteer, administrator, faculty and staff member, parent, worker, patron, designer, sewer, carpenter, the Shubert Theater and its incredible staff and crew, and everyone else who dedicated their time, energy and expertise to the production - Thank you for making this year's production so wonderful!

NHB Spring Performances 2014
All NHB students level Creative Ballet 1 and up, and all enrichment class students, are invited to participate in the Spring Performances, NHB's celebration of each student's achievements. NHB's 2014 Spring Performances will be held at the Co-Op Theater, 177 College Street, New Haven, May 8-10, 2014.

NHB Company
The NHB Company provides intermediate and advanced level students with opportunities to enhance their training through performances and exposure to guest choreographers. Auditions will be held in Danspace on Saturday, January 18th as follows:
Level 6 Girls: 1:30-2:00 p.m.
Level 7/8 Girls: 2:00-3:00 p.m.
Level 6-8 Boys: 3:00-3:30 p.m.
Ladies must wear pointe shoes for the audition. Danspace will be available from 1:00-1:30p for Level 6 ladies to warm up. Studio 70 will be available from 1:30-3:00p for Level 7/8 ladies and all boys to warm up.

Tom Gold to Choreograph for NHB Company
We are thrilled to have Tom Gold, former NYCB Soloist and founder/director/choreographer of TomGoldDance, choreograph an original ballet on NHB's Company! Mr. Gold will be attending the NHB Company auditions to select dancers for his piece. Please see www.tomgolddance.com to learn more about Mr. Gold.

CT Classic Competition
On March 8-9, 2014, the Connecticut Dance Alliance is sponsoring the Connecticut Classic, a summer ballet scholarship competition for intermediate and advanced level students. Scholarships to many prestigious summer ballet programs will be offered. This year, the Connecticut Dance Alliance has offered two competition participation scholarships to NHB students who demonstrate significant talent and financial need. Please contact the NHB main office if you are interested in learning more about this event.

Shoreline Studio B Completion
We encourage everyone to see the new floor in Studio B. It is absolutely stunning! We know that students who have the privilege of dancing on the floor will appreciate the time and effort dedicated to make this improvement possible.
