Why Pilates is the Perfect Exercise for
Women near or over 50!
Read what one of our Pilates colleagues has to say (thanks Carrie!)

Pilates is a fabulous method of exercise for any body, but if you are a woman over the age of 50 you may find it?s the perfect form of exercise for you. Have you ever said:

-- I just want to stay strong and lean.
-- I see my mom aging and know I want to keep my own body fit,
strong, flexible and functional so I can live life to the fullest.
-- I want an instructor/trainer who understands that
I?m not 25 and trains me accordingly.
-- I want to enjoy my workouts.

The P ilates Method of exercise may be the perfect exercise for you and here?s why:
  • The Pilates Method combines strength, balance, and flexibility into one very efficient workout session that will keep you lean and strong.
  • The Pilates Method focuses on using proper body mechanics and teaches you how to move in a way that will balance out your body and prevent injuries as you age.
  • The Pilates Method is truly a movement practice that can be done at any level and can be done throughout your entire lifetime.
  • A PMA Certified Pilates instructor has had over 500 hours of initial training and mentoring hours that results in experienced instructors who understand how to work with bodies of all ages, levels and conditions.
  • The Pilates Method uses a variety of equipment and props so that there is a ton of variety.  You?ll develop a practice of movements and exercises that become familiar to your body but you?ll also be continually challenged.

Memorial Golf Tournament News....

Thank you Everyone!
We want to thank you for being part of the MPC Golf Tournament. We are always grateful for your support, whether it is through your participation in the tournament or with a donation. So many lives have been changed as a result of the scholarships you are helping to create. Last year we raised $12,000!!! This brings the total of the endowment to $75,000! It provided this year's recipient Zachary Tucker, a graduate of Moon Valley High School, a $2650 Scholarship to the University of Arizona School of Engineering. This year, due to personal and unforeseen circumstances, we will not be having the tournament. We hope we can count on your continued support and contributions, knowing every donation makes a difference. Each year we get closer to the goal of a $100,000 endowment. Thank you for filling out the attached form for which we have given two ways to contribute. All contributions go directly to the University of Arizona Engineering Department and are 100% deductible. We will let everyone know this year's results when we send out news about next year's tournament. So yes, that?s correct, we will be having the tournament next year!! We will be planning for another fun and beautiful tournament, celebrating the success and purpose of the scholarship. We not only appreciate you being part of the scholarship, but also part of our lives. We look forward to seeing you next year, and the years following. YOU make a difference! Thank you!
Sincerely, Mike and Kathy Chowaniec & Jason and Heather Brummett
