Drug Fact Chat Day

Every year the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) hosts Drug Fact Chat Day, an online forum which allows teens to ask professionals drug and alcohol questions. To see the transcript from the 2013 Chat Day, please click here

Don't miss this opportunity to clean out your medicine chest.
There will be 8 medication disposal sites in Howard County, including one at HC DrugFree's office in the Wilde Lake Village Center.
All sites will be open from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Prescription Medication Lock Box

When you take into consideration that over 3 million teens in the United States abuse prescription medications and 70% of them admit to getting the drugs from family or friends, purchasing a lock box for your family's medications could save a life.

There are different companies and styles on the market, you can even get a zip pouch much like a bank deposit bag which makes it easier to travel safely with your prescriptions.

Calling All Howard County Teens
HC DrugFree's Teen Advisory Council (TAC) is open to high school teens who live or attend school in Howard County. TAC meets one Monday a month at The Barn in Oakland Mills Village Center.The next meeting is Monday, May 6 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. To download the application, please click here.
