EECO Flat Bottom Jack Modernization

New Ordinances Provide a Business
Opportunity For You!
Originally, many hydraulic elevators were installed with single flat bottom in-ground jack units, many without any corrosion protection at all. Failures on these older designs may result in electrolytic attack on the unprotected cylinder material, resulting in rupture of the cylinder and uncontrolled descent of the elevator.

Today's ASME National Elevator Safety Code requires single-bottom jacks (cylinders) to be replaced with double-bottom cylinders, which include a Safety Bulkheadwith a protective coating and a means for checking for ongoing compliance, or be equipped with code compliant safety devices, which can be far more costly than a cylinder replacement.
