How has NBTS changed your life?
CALLING ALL ALUMNI! 

New Brunswick Theological Seminary wants to know about your experiences at Seminary and how it's changed your life. Testimonials are a great resource to better enhance our efforts and we would like to include a few examples in the upcoming Annual Report.

Martisha Dwyer, NBTS Alum 13' is newly certified as a Supervisory Candidate by the Association Clinical Pastoral Education and recently chosen as Employee of the month for July at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. 


Rev. Dr. Joseph Hooper, NBTS Alum '05,
was the quest speaker at The Interdenominational Ministers Conference which was held at 7 p.m. on July 17th at St. Paul Baptist Church, 1201 N. 17th St., Harrisburg. Hooper is the newly appointed pastor of St. Paul AME Church in East Orange, N.J. Prior to his appointment to St. Paul, Hooper was pastor of Bethel AME Church, New Haven, Conn.


   
On Saturday, July 21, 2014,
Leah Ennis, NBTS Alum '13,
married Chuck Dunlap at the Clinton Avenue Reformed Church in Bergenfield, NJ.  Her father Rev. Mark W. Ennis, NBTS Alum '84 walked her down the aisle and the ceremony was performed by Rev. Paul G. Janssen, NBTS Alum '85. 
 
 


On Saturday, August 2, 2014, Rev. Nancy  E. Beardslee, NBTS Alum '90, married Irving Vererosloff through a Reformed Christian/Jewish ceremony at the Second Reformed Church of New Brunswick. She was walked down the aisle by Dr. John Coakley, NBTS L. Russell Feakes Memorial Professor of Church History.







With great sympathy, we share that Margaret J. Kasper, beloved wife of The Rev. David Kasper, NBTS Alum '73, passed away  on Friday, September 5, 2014.  Her funeral was held on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 in De Motte, Indiana.

In August the Consistory of RCHP approved a new Ministry Associate for Hispanic Outreach. Rev. Ben Rivera, NBTS Alum '09 is an ordained minister in the Reformed Church in America. Effective immediately Pastor Ben will begin looking to grow the impact of RCHP to Spanish speakers in the church and those who haven't yet joined us. On September 16th at 8pm, RCHP will launch its Tuesday Spanish Bible Study, followed by Friday Night Praise & Worship Service starting October 3rd at 8pm. A Pastoral Counseling program and a newsletter in Spanish, Sol De Justicia (Sun of Righteousness), will be added in October as well.

Dr. Lesly Devereaux, DMin., J.D., NBTS Alum '13, publishes the long awaited book, "Breaking Codependency: How to Navigate the Traps that Sabotage your Life." Dr. Lesly is a graduate of Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She earned her Jurist Doctorate from Howard University School of Law, Masters and Doctor of Ministry from New Brunswick Theological Seminary. Click here for the book trailer.

 

 

 

 We are delighted that as part of our 230th year of ministry, Dr. John Coakley, Professor of Church History for the past 30 years, is writing a new history of our beloved seminary.
