Dick Kait, 
JD, LLM, CLU, ChFC 
Dick leads Protective Life's Advanced Sales Department, with more than 30 years' experience in tax and business planning, trusts and estates, life insurance, annuities and related specialties. Dick is a Princeton graduate, who then served in the U.S. Army's 4th Infantry Division, earned his JD at the University of Wisconsin, and began his legal career as Minority Counsel for various subcommittees of the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee.

Dick left Capitol Hill to join Texas International Airlines in Houston with its General Counsel. After receiving the Masters of Law in Taxation (LLM) at The George Washington University (National Law Center), Dick entered private practice in several prominent law firms in New Orleans, and later in Northern Virginia. He is currently admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Dick entered the life insurance industry in 2000 to lead the Advanced Sales Team at The Acacia Group and AmeritasAcacia, while earning the CLU and ChFC designations. Dick is a Former Chairman of LIMRA's Advanced Sales Committee, whose members include the advanced markets attorneys from 35 U.S. life insurance carriers. He is a frequent speaker for events at Protective and the industry, and has authored professional articles, published in National Underwriter, Broker World, Life Insurance Selling, the Journal of SFSP, and other professional and trade publications.

Dick is an active Member of AALU and the Society of Financial Service Professionals. He is admitted to practice in Virginia, and is Past President of the National Capital Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals, and former member of the Northern Virginia Estate Planning Council.

Outside of career, the important things in Dick's life include Dick's only child, Chelsea, who currently lives in Southern Germany where her husband is stationed as a U.S. Army officer and Blackhawk Pilot.
Dick is an active musician, composer, performer, and producer, collaborating with musicians, songwriters, vocalists and filmmakers in the US, Canada, Brazil, UK, Czech Republic, and Italy.
