Story Time
May 4 - June 12
 

The current series of pre-school story times ends on Friday, June 12th. Story time sessions will begin again in mid-September.

 

Drop-in Story Times on Wednesdays @ 9:30am will continue during our Summer Reading
Program (July 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29), they will be held on Wednesdays @ 10:30am.

No Registration is required for the following preschool groups:

Monday afternoon 1:30-2:15pm
Monday night (Bedtime) 7:00-7:45pm
Tuesday morning 10:00-10:45am

Paws for Reading

 

Murphy, a Certified Therapy Dog, and her
handler, Karen, will be in the Children's Room on:
Saturday, May 2 from 10:00-11:00am.  Sign up ahead of time to read to Murphy or drop by for a visit and a chance to read.

is Lego Saturday! Use our LEGOs or bring your own to build and create.   Meet new friends, share your ideas, work on a "Mystery Challenge", create and have fun! LEGOs will be available all day.  

 

 

Bricks 4 Kidz:

 
On Saturday, May 16 , in addition to our LEGOs
being available all day for creative fun, Gordon
Lubbers, owner of Bricks 4 Kidz®, will be here again from 10:00am-2:00pm with architect/engineer designed, motorized model kits and instructions for all to enjoy.

 

 

Artistic Happenings

Creation Station

Children of all ages are invited to make a "May Flower" at the Creation Station anytime during the week of May 25-30.

An Evening of Poetry

The Dover Public Library cordially invites you to attend an "Evening of Poetry" on Monday, May 18th at 6:30pm in the Library Lecture Hall. All students who participated in the Library's 13th Annual Poetry Contest, for grades K-12, are invited to read their poetry at this event (purely voluntary). The general public is encouraged to come and enjoy the readings. Prizes will be distributed in six different grade categories: K-2, 3 & 4, 5 & 6, 7 & 8, 9 & 10, and 11 & 12.
