Dear Street's Hope Supporter:

Happy Easter! We hope you were able to enjoy this holy week with your loved ones as we reflect on the fact that Christ is risen and the tomb is empty! That incredible truth inspires our work and the healing process for our SH ladies!

We are so excited to send you this month's eNews because there are a lot of great updates to share with you! As mentioned last month, Peg is our new Communications & Media Director, so for the first time ever Street's Hope has a dedicated staff member to work on our communications, we hope to be able to keep you updated in new and exciting ways. For instance, if you don't follow us on social media (facebook, twitter, etc.) GO DO THAT NOW before you walk away from your computer. Peg will be sharing a weekly "Feel-Good Friday" client success update on there along with blog posts, news articles, pictures, and more. Don't miss out on this great way to stay connected!

Second, we were overwhelmed by your generosity in March to our request to stock the house up on cleaning and housing supplies. Check out how full our storage bank is currently! A HUGE thank you to all of you that donated to make this possible! But, as you know, a house full of women can run through supplies quickly so we will continue to update you each month with our most current needs.

Lastly, there  are still a few open volunte er and staff positions at Street's Hope , so be sure to send any interested applicants our way via email to [email protected]. Our current open positions are in the following areas:
  • Board Membership (volunteer role)
  • Outreach Coordinator (volunteer role)
  • Development Associate (paid staff)
Thank you from the bottom of our H.E.A.R.T for sharing in our important work and supporting the ladies of Street's Hope. We hope your Easter season is truly a blessed one.

Warmly,

Street's Hope Staff & Board of Directors

Client Spotlight!
One of our current residents, Ashlee* has been in the SH program for 5 months now and she has been growing in leaps and bounds! She has been a positive influence in the house on the other clients and has shown great motivation working hard in her college classes. We are so proud of Ashlee for receiving all A's the first half of her semester. She has done so well all of her professors are writing letters of recommendation for her to hopefully receive a scholarship from Google. Hats off to Ashlee and thank you to all our incredible donors that make each day at Street's Hope a possibility for women like Ashlee!

*Update: Shipping Container Project*
Our partnership with the Lion Project, which led to the creation of this great video and our excellent safe house security system, also led to a tri-partnership with Homes of Living Hope. As you may know by now, Homes of Living Hope has been working tirelessly with the City of Lakewood to approve the building permit for our shipping container renovation project that will provide additional office and therapy space for Street's Hope. Well, we are THRILLED to announce the PERMIT WAS APPROVED so the project will be launched shortly. Please stay tuned for ways to get involved!
