New Nutrition Policy Advocate in Los Angeles: Hector Gutierrez

CFPA is pleased to announce that Hector Gutierrez has joined the CFPA team as a Nutrition Policy Advocate. Prior to joining CFPA, Hector worked as a food systems policy analyst at Los Angeles non-profit Community Health Councils supporting local and state policy aimed at promoting better food environments and food access for underserved communities in Los Angeles. He received his Master in Urban and Regional Planning from UCLA and BA in Ethnic Studies from UC Berkeley.

The newest member of the CFPA Los Angeles office, Hector works on policies to increase participation in CalFresh and the Child and Adult Care Food Program. In addition, as water team lead he will focus on supporting research and initiatives to increase water access in schools.
