Brrr!

Happy New Year!

After a flurry of pre-Christmas and Christmas activity, we suddenly have very little church news to send your way!  But, rather than wait another week, we're sending a brief greeting and reminder that we have four more days of Christmas!  We will resume our regular Sunday morning schedule on January 4 with Adult Forum and Catechesis of the Good Shepherd at 9:00 am and Holy Eucharist Rite II at 10:15 am.

We are especially pleased with the roll-out of GraceWorks' first product and with the enthusiastic response of the church and other consumers of our four greeting cards.  Several of us will be attending an Education Day at Thistle Farms in Nashville on January 12, and the GraceWorks group is meeting regularly to work on our business plan and non-profit status.  If you are interested in getting more involved in making this social enterprise a success for our community, jump aboard and join us for our next meeting on Wednesday, January 14, at 4:00 pm.  Also, check out GraceWorks' new website--www.gracedoeswork.org!

Have you remembered Grace Church in your will?

We are working on starting a legacy society for Grace which will be called the George P. Giddinge Society--named for the first Rector at this church--as a step toward securing the future of our parish, especially our wonderful buildings and grounds.  All who include the church in their wills will automatically become members of this honorary group and names will be placed on a permanent plaque, probably in the narthex.  If you have already made this important decision and taken the steps necessary to insure that your wishes are carried out, please make our Treasurer, Bill Nichol, aware.  Thank you so much for your loving dedication to Grace Church, for all it has meant to so many people and for all that our ministry can continue to mean to the City of Hopkinsville.
