What dreams will you envision and then "see" coming true? Who and what will "Show up" for you and in what ways will you show up for others?

And remember, we can tap into, manifest from, and explore the Field of Infinite Possibilities through creative, imaginative thought, spiritual awareness, and consciousness. Each January we look at the five basic Unity Principles: to think about our core teachings, how we individually chose to interpret and apply them, and how they contribute to our lives and to our spiritual unfolding. Last Sunday we talked about Principles Three and Four. We finish up now with the fifth. From the interpretation of Connie Fillmore Bazzy, great-granddaughter of co-founders Charles and Myrtle Fillmore, the last is as follows: "Knowing and understanding the laws of life, also called Truth, are not enough. A person must also live the truth that he or she knows."
Do you feel that you are living "the truth" that you know? Have you been able to make your spiritual practice a consistent one? Does the "busyness" of life sometimes seem to sabotage your meditation, prayer, gratitude, and / or reflection time? Are you feeling "connected to" the Divine?
This Sunday we will briefly review these principles and look at ways that we can possibly prioritize our spiritual practices. Rev. Bronte will offer some questions that we can ask ourselves -- to use as gentle touchstones and guides in allowing to more fully "live the truth that we know." We hope you will join us for this important wrap-on on our month of looking at the Unity basic precepts.
 We will be blessed by the music of UGA Professor Dr. Arvin Scott. He is a multi-award winning percussion artist, youth program developer/coordinator, and educator with over three decades of national and international experience. In 2005 Dr. Scott's "Spirit of the Drum," title track from his 1999 debut audio CD was selected by PBS for background music in the public television educational program, "History Detectives." From a humble beginning having built his first drums using discarded packing boxes at the age of 12, he grew to become an award-wining, multi-instrumentalist, composer, motivational youth program founder/director, and professor of music with a track record that spans nearly 40 years.
A frequent performer at Unity Athens, Dr. Scott always enhances our Sundays with his creative music, his love of the art, and his positive, joyful personality.

"MORNING QUIETUDE" Sundays, 9:40 to 10:25 AM.
Morning Quietude meets in the Lobby area (through the double glass doors in the middle of the building). Led by Rev. Bronte, this is a time for quiet contemplation, soft music, and centering. Whether you join us as a pre-service preparation time, a stand-alone "church service," or as a preface to your other Sunday plans, we welcome all. If you arrive after 9:40, that's fine, just please turn off phone, etc., and quietly join the circle. Donations are appreciated. Reiki practitioners are often available to freely give healing touch and energy.
The Unity Athens "Unexpected Income Program begins this month!
Sign-up sheets, kits, and information are available starting Sunday, January 11 at Unity Athens. You can also request a sign-up form through Facebook or by emailing us at [email protected]. How does it work? When you register to participate, you receive an Unexpected Income Kit that includes a Daily Prayer for Abundance, affirmations, a tracking sheet, and more. A Prayer Team, including Rev. Bronte, will be praying for your prosperity. When signing up, participants agree to tithe 10% of "Unexpected Income" to Unity Athens during the course of the program, which will last about 40 days. You will also receive periodic emails or messages of encouragement, inspiration, and prayer. This program has brought many unexpected blessings and abundance to past participants. We hope you'll consider enrolling, too!
YES! UPCOMING DEEKSHA "Oneness Blessing" at UNITY ATHENS 
Sunday, January 25; Facilitated by Atlanta Oneness Trainer Vera Vogt. Experience the "Oneness Blessing" at Unity Athens! Blessing Givers from Athens & Atlanta invite you to a Oneness Blessing Circle on Sunday, January 25, from 3:30 to about 5:00. This is given on a "Love offering" basis with donations going toward the Unity Athens Expansion Fund.
Also known as Deeksha, the Oneness Blessing is "the transfer of intelligent sacred energy, Divine Grace, which causes the heart to flower, heals relationships, quiets the constant chatter of the mind, opens the door to higher states of awareness, and initiates a process of permanent awakening into Oneness where there is no longer a sense of separation and personal suffering. What remains is causeless love, joy and peace in the present moment." First-time blessing receivers report a powerful sense of being graced with Spirit's presence; those who've received the blessing before report ever-deepening levels of awareness.
You will be able to learn more about this blessing, which is growing in global awareness, and at the circle this sacred energy is transferred through the Blessing Givers to the recipients. Many find the experience to be meditative, peaceful, and uplifting. The originators of the Deeksha energy, Sri Bhagavan and Sri Amma, tell us that awakening and enlightenment are the result of a neurobiological shift in the brain, and Deeksha affects the physical brain, facilitating these neurobiological changes. What are Unity's Basic Principles?

▪ God is Absolute Good, everywhere present.
▪ Human beings have a spark of divinity within them, the Christ spirit within. Their very essence is of God, and therefore they are also inherently good.
▪ Human beings create their experiences by the activity of their thinking. Everything in the manifest realm has its beginning in thought.
▪ Prayer is creative thinking that heightens the connection with God-Mind and therefore brings forth wisdom, healing, prosperity and everything good.
▪ Knowing and understanding the laws of life, also called Truth, are not enough. A person must also live the truth that he or she knows.

A COURSE IN MIRACLES. Taught by the highly experienced and insightful facilitator, Drew Smith, this popular class dives deeply into A Course, while making the text even more understandable and relevant to daily life. Open to all. If you don't own the book, there's always someone willing to share. Because of the ongoing nature of this class, feel free to stop in as you can, or to participate every Sunday. Donations are accepted and appreciated.

 CommUnity Movies, popular movie & DVD showings, meet monthly, usually on the second Sunday. We meet next on Jan. 11. Stay tuned for details on the next movie. Join us then around the extra-big screen TV for a casual atmosphere of spiritual films and DVDs plus interesting discussions for those that chose to stay for a bit after. Feel free to bring your own snacks and beverages. CommUnity Movie cost is $5. NOTE: The January 11 movie will be rescheduled to a later date, yet to be determined, due to some technical issues.

Attend a "New Member" class to become a member of Unity Athens. We welcomed four new members on Nov. 9th.
To achieve membership, there are several requirements: attendance at a New Member class, taught by Rev. Bronte, and all new members are asked to view the DVD, "What is New Thought?," which explores the history and philosophy of the New Thought movement, including Unity. We will have showings of this important documentary around the time of New Member classes, or you can purchase it online to watch. If you are transferring an active membership from another Unity church, it may be possible to waive one or both requirements. It is also highly recommended that you attend one of our book study groups for a deeper insight into Unity principles and teachings. There is no fee to take the New Member class or to become a member. These classes are open to all and are a good way to lean more about the Unity movement and Unity Athens. Check with Bronte for dates & schedules for classes, the movie showing, and the next opportunity to join Unity Athens. Consider making a deeper connection and becoming a member of our Unity Athens Family.

Other Happenings -- So much good stuff going on !
DOLLAR BILL GIVEAWAYS! Inspired in part by Pam Grout's book, E-cubed, we asked for volunteers on Sunday, November 2nd, and
 gave them a task & a dollar bill. (Pam used 5s). Each bill has a positive abundance affirmation. They are to hide them in spots out and about where the dollars will be found. This followed the wonderful Cindy Lou Harrington performing her new song, "Give It Away," for us. Church is supposed to be fun, right??
