Alumni Spotlight
We are please to announce a new series. Each quarter, in our newsletter and on the website, we will feature one Mu Kappa Tau alumnus.

MKT Young Alunmi Spotlight
Megan Horn became a member of Mu Kappa Tau in May of 2009 and won the MKT Scholarship in 2010. She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 2011.
MKT asked Megan what she has been doing since graduating and where is she working. She has been working in Internet marketing and currently at Far Reach.
When asked which one of the six Mu Kappa Tau's "values" she believes is the most important for students to display or develop, Megan commented, "I'm a huge fan of integrity. The other values are much less valuable without integrity."
Megan's advice for members still in school is for them to strive to grow outside the classroom. Some ways students can do this is through student and professional organizations, work, travel, and social life.

2014-2015 Competitions and Giveaway
We will have a total of four competitions for cash prizes this year, two in fall; two in spring. This semester, the competitions are a photo and a quote competition. Details can be found on our website, www.mukappatau.org/index.php/competitions. We also are running our first giveaway. MKT members can be entered to win a MKT sweatshirt by liking and commenting on the MKT Facebook page, retweeting the MKT hoodie photo on Twitter, or by following and commenting on the Instagram hoodie post.  2014-2015 Scholarship Opportunities
Mu Kappa Tau encourages and recognizes outstanding academic excellence in the field of Marketing by offering three scholarships this academic year.
- $500 - G.M. Naidu Scholarship
- $1500 - Sponsored by Mu Kappa Tau
- $1500 - Sponsored by the PSE National Educational Foundation. This scholarship is awarded to a member of Mu Kappa Tau that is also a member of Pi Sigma Epsilon.
The Mu Kappa Tau Scholarship Committee performs the scholarship application evaluations. These are merit-based scholarships and are awarded based on student's academic abilities, school and community service accomplishments and other activities.
All applications must be submitted online by Sunday, February 15,2015. Please see our website, for details, scholarship requirements, and the application procedure. We would appreciate your assistance in promoting the competitions, as well as encouraging your students to apply for the scholarship program.

 2015 PSE National Convention
The 2015 Pi Sigma Epsilon National Sales and Marketing Convention will be held in Houston, Texas, April 13-19, 2015. Each spring for over 55 years, nearly 500 PSE members (collegiate, alumni, educator, professional, associate and corporate representatives) join together for five days of professional programming and special activities.
Mu Kappa Tau members are encouraged to attend the MKT Annual Business Meeting at the National Convention. At the Annual Business Meeting, the Executive Board, members, educators and alumni will discuss issues associated with the current state and future of the honor society.
