The Easter holiday is just a few days away. Many of us will spend time with family and friends watching the kids racing around gathering treats concealed in plastic eggs. For others, this event will include cascarones (confetti eggs), which are prevalent in the Latin culture in Texas. Cascarones are rumored to have originated in China and were brought to Europe by Marco Polo. They were used in Italy and in Spain as a courting item filled with perfume, and later filled with confetti when production moved to Mexico. They are a sign of good luck. Whatever your plans, we hope your days are filled with the love and laughter of your friends and family.
Don't forget Member Orientation is taking place on Monday, April 6 at 8:00 a.m. Please register if you plan to attend.
