bed-breakfast-couple.jpgWe sleep everyday. But do you sleep well everyday? I don't, and I am not alone. In fact, sleep-related difficulties affect many people. Lack of sleep can affect the health of someone living with a chronic disease or mental health disorders.

  • Children's Eye Health and Safety Month - Most children have healthy eyes. But there are conditions that can threaten good vision. Be sure to schedule an eye exam before school starts. Read more about eye injuries and prevention here.

  • National Immunization Awareness Month - Immunizations help protect us against serious diseases. The United States Department of Health and Family Services has a toolkit that includes immunization schedules for all ages and materials to help promote the month.

  • Psoriasis Awareness Month - Psoriasis is an autoimmune disease that causes raised, red, scaly patches to appear on the skin. It is the most common autoimmune disease in the country. Learn more about the disease here.
