Wayne, Westland and Wayne-Westland Community Schools to host Community Forum on May 5 Special Election "Roads Proposal" 

Westland, MI - The Cities of Wayne and Westland will be hosting a community forum with co-host Wayne-Westland Community Schools regarding the "Roads Proposal" that will be voted on at the May 5, 2015 Special Election.  The purpose of the Community Forum is to share information about the impact, should the Roads Proposal be approved by voters, funding will have for both cities and the school district.

 

This Community Forum will be held in the Grande Ballroom at Westland City Hall, 36300 Warren Road from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2015.

 

The Michigan Municipal League will give a presentation explaining the various aspects of funding the Roads Proposal provides for improving Michigan's deplorable roads and other areas identified in the Proposal that will benefit the cities and school district.  A Question & Answer session will follow the presentation. 

 

"I encourage everyone to attend this Community Forum on the Roads Proposal so that voters can make an informed choice when casting their ballots May 5;" commented Westland Mayor William R. Wild.
