Since then these annual events have been excellent opportunities to pray for our three focus areas of Religious Freedom, Marriage and Family and Human Life.
The National Day of Prayer & Fasting 2015 will be celebrated in our nation's capital in a prayer service on 15 February from 10AM to 4PM in the Great Hall of Parliament House. The theme this year is DESTINY and the celebration of our Christian heritage. Please watch this 2-minute video to learn more.
You can view the event on the 15 February via a live webcast which can be accessed at the website on the day. The full six-hour service can also be seen on an historic live telecast on the Trinity Broadcasting Network.
This concert of prayer for Australia is gaining momentum each year. This year there will be many pre-events held in different states, cities, regions, and rural locations around Australia in the week leading up to the National Day. Check here to see if there is one in your state or area.
This multiplication of prayer and fasting for the revival of God's people and the transformation of Australia is very exciting. Jonathan Edwards, the famous American 18th century preacher, said, "When God has something very great to accomplish for His church .... He will begin by remarkably pouring out the spirit of grace and supplication (Zech. 12:10)".
We are hearing wonderful reports of more and more churches celebrating the National Day of Prayer & Fasting as well as stories of new prayer initiatives springing up all across the nation. We believe this is a sign that God is working in our midst.
There are many ways to celebrate the National Day of Prayer & Fasting. We invite individuals, fellowship groups and local churches to take part. Here are some ways you or your fellowship group or church can be involved on 15 February:
- Songs / prayers / sermon on the importance of prayer and how prayer will affect our nation's destiny.
- Different video clips showing our Christian heritage and revival history.
- A written Prayer and Declaration read by one person or everyone (see 4 below).
- Watching some of the live webcast from Canberra in your home or as part of, or after, a church service.
- A group you are part of gathering for a special time of prayer during the day.
- Gather in your home with some friends and celebrate the day in whatever way you can.
- Send a delegation to Canberra from your church or come yourself.

Jesus said in Mark 11:24, "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours". So let us continue in prayer, believing together for revival and transformation of our nation, for the glory of God.
Australia needs our prayers!
