Fixing Your Eyes on Jesus

It must have been an incredible sight, Jesus on a donkey, the crowds spreading their cloaks, and branches on the road, and shouting "Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!"

From this record, we can see that all eyes were on Jesus but were truly fixed on Him? We they just looking at Him because it was convenient? Or did they want something from Him? This weekend, we will learn what it takes to fix our eyes on our Lord and Savior.

Wednesday, April 1: Faith Alive and Recharge (Pizza dinner at 6:30 p.m. for $3.) will meet at 6:30 p.m.

Wednesday, April 1: Knowing and Defending Your Faith Bible Study led by Pastor Joe at 6:30 p.m.

Thursday, April 2 at 9:30 a.m. Spring Gardening! It's time to spruce up the church grounds for Easter. The gardening group will be cleaning up the area, and they would appreciate extra workers to help with this large task. Please feel free to bring blowers, pruners, etc. It's great fellowship.

Maundy Thursday, April 2 at 12:15, 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary
(Nursery will be opened from 6:15-7:45 p.m.)

Good Friday, April 3 at 12:15, 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary
(Nursery will be opened from 4-5:45 p.m. & 6:15-7:45 p.m.)

Build relationships with the unsheltered

Gloria Dei has adopted the fifth Sunday (four times a year) to help with Joppa Outreach. We will visit the homeless, listen to their stories, give out meals, laugh (and cry) with them.

Join us this week!

Starts Wednesday, April 1 at 6:30 p.m.

The first four weeks in April Pastor Meyer will be leading Bible Studies under the heading "Knowing and Defending Your Faith." He will dig deep into God's Word regarding our faith-lives together and help you to be able to talk to others about your faith in Jesus. Every Bible study is a good opportunity for you to bring friends and so begin thinking about who you'll bring with you and get the following dates on your calendar!

April 1: "The Bible...Is It Reliable?"

April 8: "The Sermon...Make Us Feel Good?"

April 15: "Deny Myself? Why Should I?"

April 22: "Creation and Christianity...One without the Other?"

Men: Join us on the Softball Field
