What's on your volunteer program wish list?

Does your organization have a wish list when it comes to volunteers? Are you looking for funding to build organizational capacity?

Please join Volunteer Maryland and the Rural Maryland Council for an information session, where you will learn about how both organizations can help you build capacity and better serve your mission. Along with information, there will be plenty of time to network and ask questions.

The Rural Maryland Council is an independent state agency that works to bring together rural public and private stakeholders to address the challenges that face Rural Maryland. The Council administers the Maryland Agricultural Education and Rural Development Assistance Fund which distributes grants to rural non-profits for statewide and regional planning, economic and community development and agricultural and forestry education projects. The goal of the Fund is to build capacity of non-profits in rural areas.

Volunteer Maryland, an AmeriCorps program, builds stronger communities by developing effective volunteer programs. Since 1992, Volunteer Maryland has worked with organizations across the State to better mobilize volunteers, and create structures to retain volunteers and show results. On average, each Volunteer Maryland partnership yields over 180 new volunteers and each volunteer provides at least 15 hours of service. Volunteer Maryland has the expertise to help create a volunteer program that works.
