The Heidelberg Project

Simulacrum by Paolo Pedini
Michigan native and Detroit based artist Paolo Pedini continues to create images based on his developing style of exploring painting and collage techniques. Using subjects of mass production, facsimiles of modern mythological figures, cultural icons and subjects from nature, Paolo starts each piece by spontaneously creating background colors and patterns, later adding foreground figures that are a stark contrast to previous layers.

Join us on Friday, July 3rd from 5:30-8:30p for the open house mixer as Paolo unveils his new work in the POST-HAB Gallery at the Number House.
