Trade Offs: Understanding Parametrically
The term is common enough. We might hear "You need to consider the trade offs..." in a conversation regarding the architecture or detailed design of a piece of equipment or a building, or about a major life decision.
As a scientist, and a designer of things, there was a point where I started to think in terms of understanding the parameter space, as opposed to making my design work for the particular application.

Michael was born and educated in California, USA receiving a BS in Physics from the University of California at Berkeley. Michael has been Large Area Coatings TAC Chair since 2001 and Treasurer of the SVC since 2004.
