Make sure you get in time with Bob the Builder™ and his Can-Do Crew! Aspiring builders and their families get to visit Bob the Builder's world in Sunflower Valley, inviting exploration, inspiring teamwork and bringing environmentally-friendly building themes to life for children and families.

Don't forget, your museum membership or admission includes all of our Curiosity Shop classes, held Monday-Friday, and geared toward preschoolers. Check out our Music in Motion class on Labor Day -  "Birds and Bugs That Fly" at 10:30 and 11:30 am. Space is limited, so be sure to sign up at the Information Desk when you arrive.

New Studio 444 Art Exhibit

Kate Gourley Thomas, local

Artist and much loved Discovery Gateway Early Childhood Educator, explores the struggles and delights of learning in this new Studio 444 exhibit. As a child the artist entered 

kindergarten with a giddy hope of learning to read, to her 

embarrassment and frustration she learned slowly and with

much difficulty. With the help of attentive teachers and parents she gradually unlocked the world of books and now is a voracious reader. This exhibit is largely made of deconstructed books, symbolizing the process of breaking down new information and using it to build a new school of thought. Thomas seeks to explore how we consume information and how we are inevitably changed by what we learn.
