NOTE FROM THE COACH

The beginning of April means the winter is officially over and triathlon season is here! Warmer weather makes training feel less like a chore and more like fun. You should all reap the benefits of the hard work that was done in the winter darkness. This week and next week many of you are enjoying "spring break" with your families. You might also have a little less structure to your training which is actually a good thing. In SC we have a very long triathlon season which is wonderful but can be tiring, so taking a little break every now in then is a good thing. We will all be in full swing soon with race season upon us which is exciting, but for now enjoy your Easter weekend and your Spring Break!

Rule #6

Free your mind and your legs will follow.

Your mind is your worst enemy. Do all your thinking before you start riding your bike.  Once the pedals start to turn, wrap yourself in the sensations of the ride - the smell of the air, the sound of the tires, the feeling of flight as the bicycle rolls over the road.

BIKE

Rides for the week:
Tues 6PM hammer fest, expect 19+
Wednesday Ladies only 6PM
Thursday 9AM recovery pace and at 6PM we will have an 18ish pace group and 20ish pace group
Saturday 8AM all groups

Always note that faster groups unless leader says otherwise are not 'no drop'.
Rules of the road are required, expect to hear about it if you like riding in the left lane, waiting for the ambulance tends to ruin the ride.
Check out some new stuff at the shop before the ride: Diadora shoes, Castelli spring, Lapierre and Alchemy bicycles, and Freehub Castelli gear are all arriving this week!

Thanks!

Greenville Spinners 2015 Time Trial Series Info!

Cat 1/2/3, Cat 4/unclassified, and Merckx

Cat 4/unclassified would be anyone who doesn't race on a regular basis and isn't ranked in cycling racing = most triathletes!

Merckx (ROAD BIKE) is zero aero equipment, so aero bars on a road bike would bump you into the unclassified category.

RUNNING DEPARTMENT

The Race for the Fallen 5K GLOW RUN is a night time family-fun race for participants of all ages & speeds!
