Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.

Both a parent and the student need to create a PIN number. It's recommended you do this NOW as it can take awhile to receive your number.
Then, remember to have your tax return ready to go as soon as possible so you can have accurate financial aid information when making your college choice. |

Airschool is coming!
We are headed in four different directions for Airschool. We have groups going to spend the night at the Carnegie Science Center, going to see a Broadway show, headed to our nation's capital, and spending four days living with the Amish. (And a lot more as well!) The cost is $149 which needs to be payed by March 16th. Your student will be bringing home flyers soon. Be on the look out for more information to come!

LO QUE PASA EN LA SELVA QUEDA EN LA SELVA!
Don't know what that means? You will have to come to the Ecuador Banquet to find out! (But we still won't tell you) The banquet will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (851 Science Park Road, across the street from Grace Prep) senior Claire Shearer and the team from Ecuador will host a fundraiser banquet on Friday, March 6th from 6:00-9:00 PM. It costs $10 for tickets, $8 for donors. The banquet will be a fun time to hear the team's stories of their time in Ecuador and fundraiser for the trip. There will be a silent auction with authentic gifts from Ecuador, including alpaca coats, sweaters, and scarves.

SENIOR LEGACY
Seniors, remember that the final days of your projects are approaching. It's time to conquer this thing once and for all!
Juniors, be prepared to watch closely as the seniors wow us with their presentations skills on Monday, April 13th and Tuesday, April 14th. Parents of Seniors and Juniors, please plan on attending at least one of these magnificent presentations. You won't be disappointed. Right, seniors?

AP EXAM REGISTRATION
Students in AP Literature and Composition have an option of signing up to take the AP Literature exam on May 6. Depending on the college your student is attending, they may receive college credit if they score well on the exam. Students register through the State College Area School District community education office. Students will create an account online and register for the exams they want to take. Payment will be completed online as well. Parents will have to provide a credit card to complete the registration. The site opens this Wednesday and will remain open for two weeks so students can register. A link will appear on the school district main page www.scasd.org. Did you know our lunch program has a name? It's the Graceful Pig. Here's the menu for the rest of February. Feel free to order for just a week or for the rest of the month. Just be sure to email your order to Shauna at [email protected] by Thursday at midnight. Students' lunches are $3.75 each, payable with cash or check (made out to "Grace Prep").

SPEND YOUR TUITION DOLLARS AT SHEETZ!
Many parents that participate in Grace Prep's SCRIP program are able to skip their June payment entirely or at least pay a greatly reduced amount. It is easy to participate in the program, and some families have found that it helps with budgeting.
After signing up, you may access your account and pay for gift cards from your favorite grocery stores, gas stations, clothing stores, and restaurants. Then, when you visit these locations, you pay for your purchases with your gift cards. Each gift card purchase saves you tuition money.
