8 Track Mind

8 Track Mind is a Fredericton based 9-piece band playing the best in pop, rock and R&B dance music from the 70s and 80s, all the way up to today. With an extensive song list including hits by Chicago, Stevie Wonder, Lighthouse, Pink, Dave Matthews, the Eurythmics, Earth Wind & Fire, Peter Gabriel, Bruno Mars and many more, you're in for a great time. This dynamic band is fronted by the energetic vocal team of Sherri Chenard and guitarist Dan Doucet, who are powered by a wicked 3-piece horn section consisting of Adam Johnson on trumpet, TC (Tom) Richards on sax and Glen Clarke on trombone, while drummer Wayne Blanchard, bassist John Rosengren, keyboardist Eddie Oldfield and guitarist Jim Stith keep the grooves moving with tasty rhythmic punch.

2015 Keynote Speakers / Sessions
Emcee - Rose Arsenault

Rose Arsenault was born and raised in Fredericton, New Brunswick. She enjoyed a 20-year career as a television personality and Communications Officer with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in Fredericton.  A memorable and often repeated television segment featured Rose as an on-air tour guide of sorts, showcasing some of New Brunswick's "must-see" attractions.  Richard Faulkner of Baymount Outdoor Adventures starred in one of the episodes!

Since 2001, Rose has been employed by the Government of New Brunswick in the Department of Tourism:  initially in Travel Trade Sales while managing the TradeSmart program; then Industry Relations and Professional Development such as the Innovation and Leadership Series which many of you are graduates of, and currently as Project Executive:  Media and Public Relations.  Rose also had the pleasure of doing some television on-air work for the Department, including a series on New Brunswick's parks and top attractions.

She is often asked to serve as emcee locally and nationally -- including prestigious events such as the Tourism Industry Association of Canada's National Tourism Awards for more than six years running.  And now she in honoured to add TIANB's Annual Conference 2015 to her list!

Presentation from the Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC)

Founded in 1930 to encourage the development of tourism in Canada, TIAC serves today as the national private-sector advocate for this $84.3 billion sector. Based in Ottawa, TIAC takes action on behalf of Canadian tourism businesses and promotes positive measures that help the industry grow and prosper.

TIAC is responsible for representing tourism interests at the national level, and its advocacy work involves promoting and supporting policies, programs and activities that will benefit the sector's growth and development.

Presentation from the Canadian Tourism Commision (CTC)

The Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC) is Canada's national tourism marketing organization. A federal Crown corporation of the Government of Canada, we lead the Canadian tourism industry in marketing Canada as a premier four-season tourism destination where travellers can enjoy extraordinary experiences. We provide a consistent voice for Canada in the international tourism marketplace.

As tourism is one of the world's fastest-growing sectors, it is strategically important for Canada to generate export revenues that provide new dollars to the Canadian economy. Through effective tourism marketing and promotions supported by aligned market research, we help to create jobs and generate wealth for Canadians by stimulating demand for Canada's visitor economy.

 Gair Maxwell

His international debut as a published author resulted from a 4 a.m. visit to a local coffee shop, simply by being willing to accept a challenge to just sit down, watch, listen and learn. Described as a "shock stick of clarity" and a "mind-bending idea generator", this author, branding expert, and entrepreneur speaks at many national and international conferences, focusing on building brands that stick.

Combining humor, multi-media and in-the-trenches experience, Gair has shown hundreds of CEO's how to obtain more mileage from their marketing dollar by creating their own iconic brands; in effect becoming the "Apple" or "Starbucks" of their specific market or category. His highly-acclaimed book, NUTS, BOLTS AND A FEW LOOSE SCREWS - available at Amazon.com and Chapters.ca - provides the framework for his keynotes and seminars and has catapulted him to stages with Richard Branson, Kevin O'Leary and Gene Simmons.
