Mysore Yoga CPH

Anybody who has been practicing yoga long enough knows that the practice is not just about butterflies, rainbows and sparkly Instagrams. In fact it can be a rocky road with hiccups, speed bumbs and confusing road signs. We will fall and we will struggle. Sometimes just stepping onto the mat can be a big hurdle to overcome.

The comforting news is that we are not alone. All of these companions arise for everyone. In essence, the practice of yoga is a vehicle that is designed to help us navigate through the obstacles with clarity and peace. The obstacles we meet on the mat, we will most likely encounter in some form off the mat as well.

Profound progress with the practice can't really be measured by one's physical ability or inability to do an asana, but in the ability to learn, listen, find patience and cultivate understanding. The most important guideline is just get on your mat and breath, focus and do what you can in that moment in time, without worrying about progress or achievements.

Done sincerely, the practice will guide you and grow with you, and remember: having said all of the above, the practice still makes us feel good in a million different ways and we actually very rarely regret practicing. So, see you on the mat very soon!
Thank you Sharline!
Thank you!

Thank you, Sharline for being part of MYC from the beginning! Although we will miss Sharline on and off the mat, we are happy for Mysore Yoga Cape Town getting an excellent guide and example for their students. We wish Sharline all the best on her new adventures, and look forward to see her visiting MYC in the near future!
