Nominations Due March 20

Dear Council Leaders:

The World Affairs Councils of America is seeking nominations of excellent candidates for the WACA National Board of Directors. The Nominating Committee of the WACA Board would appreciate your recommendations of individuals who fully support the World Affairs Councils of America's effort to strengthen and provide value to member Councils, and who will work to fulfill our common mission of educating, engaging, and inspiring the public on global issues. The Committee is primarily interested in candidates from the corporate sector who are willing to become Supporting Members of the WACA Board. Such candidates perhaps have recently rotated off local Council boards. We also welcome nominations of Council leaders. WACA Board members serve three-year terms. The next cohort would begin serving at the start of our fiscal year, on July 1, 2015.

Make a Recommendation

If you would like to recommend an individual whom you believe has a clear commitment to our mission, a demonstrated understanding of the national network, and proven leadership experience, download the documents below and submit the nomination form along with all required materials via email to Ian J. Byrne at ibyrne@worldaffairscouncils.org.

Nominations for directors are due March 20, 2015. The nominating committee will review the submissions and recommend individuals for selection to the full National Board. Full World Affairs Council membership will vote on the slate by May 30, 2015.

The World Affairs Councils of America relies on you for excellent candidates to strengthen the national organization and chart the course for our future. We appreicate your time and effort in helping us select the best the network has to offer.

Sincerely,

Ljubomir (L.J.) Stambuk,

President and CEO, World Affairs Council of Charlotte

Chair of the Nominating Committee

WACA National Board of Directors
