EFNJ Scholarship Program
scholarship

The Epilepsy Foundation of New Jersey is now accepting applications for our annual scholarship program for New Jersey high school seniors who have epilepsy. We anticipate offering at least three $1,000 scholarships this year.

New Jersey high school seniors with epilepsy who plan to attend a college or university are eligible. Academic achievement, participation in activities and financial need will be considered. The extent of a student's disability(s) will be taken into account as well, so that s/he need not be near the top of her/his class to qualify. Final awards will be made by the Epilepsy Foundation of New Jersey, which reserves the right not to make any awards.

Scholarship Applications and supporting documents are due by May 1, 2015. Should you have any questions, please contact Andrea Racioppi at (800)336-5843 or by email at [email protected].

Exciting Changes To NEREG Support Groups
Northeast Regional Epilepsy Group

The NEREG Virtual Support groups provide a forum that facilitates and promotes the sharing of common interests, information, and experiences within the epilepsy community. These online groups allow you to participate in support activities when you are unable to attend a local support meeting in person; and are managed by qualified facilitators knowledgeable on Epilepsy-related topics. During these sessions, you have the opportunity to speak with other participants, seek advice, make friends, discover new ideas, share your experiences - good and bad, and help support others managing Epilepsy. Access to Online Trainings

Are you a school nurse or other professional in a school setting who would like to be educated about epilepsy? EFNJ has made these trainings available online for your convenience. Our 3 hour School Nurse training assists the school nurse with better supporting students with seizures and prepares the nurse to educate other school personnel about epilepsy. The School Personnel training is a 1 hour presentation for school staff that provides basic seizure recognition and first aid information. Please visit the link here to view these trainings:
