 Watch out for impostors. The credit card processing industry sees a lot of fraud in the form of independent sales agents posing as members of other companies. If your business is approached by a representative that you are unfamiliar with, please feel free to contact Frontline Processing directly at 1-866-651-3068 to verify their identity! Red flags: asking for sensitive info, altered contracts and no proper identification. Look out for suspicious online or phone orders. Card-not-present sales, like e-commerce and phone orders, are often targeted by scammers. Use Address Verification (AVS) and Card Security Codes (CSC) in order to verify that the buyer has the actual credit card! Red flags: large quantity orders with no customer contact, rush orders for large volumes, and discrepancies in billing and shipping addresses. Did you know that 80% of all breaches happen to small businesses?
