TODAY'S THE DAY FOR COLORADO GIVES!
The Pueblo Community College Foundation would appreciate your support TODAY!
GREETINGS FROM PUEBLO, CO!

The Pueblo Community College Foundation is honored to be associated with Colorado Gives Day; Colorado's largest philanthropic event.  We are working to encourage all "Friends of the Foundation" to join with us TODAY and make a tax-deductible donation to our Foundation and our efforts to support students and academic excellence at Pueblo Community College.

  • A $25 Donation TODAY could help us in lending immediate financial aid to a student who is struggling to pay a rent or utility bill.
  • A $50 Donation TODAY could help us in providing a financial gift to the PCC Student Pantry which provides non-perishable food items to our students who are struggling to make financial ends meet between paychecks.
  • A $100 Donation TODAY could help in providing the funds needed to furnish the new Fremont Campus addition.
  • A $500 Donation TODAY could offer a student scholarship to a PCC student who is attending classes on the Pueblo, Fremont, Durango or Mancos campuses.  Your gift could help to pay for a part of that student's tuition, books or school supplies.

Whatever you can lend to help our Foundation during Colorado Gives Day (Tuesday, December 9), we would be forever in your debt.  Your financial investment in our Foundation can make a huge impact NOW and in the days ahead.

What is Colorado Gives Day?

Colorado Gives Day is an annual statewide movement to celebrate and increase philanthropy in Colorado through online giving. For the fifth consecutive year, Community First Foundation and FirstBank are partnering to present Colorado Gives Day on Tuesday, December 9, 2014. Donations are accepted through ColoradoGives.org.

Who created Colorado Gives Day?

Community First Foundation, a community foundation serving metro Denver, created the initiative in 2010 with the financial support of Colorado-based FirstBank.

Colorado Gives Day 2014 is Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014. Donors are encouraged to join the movement to "give where you live" and raise millions for Colorado nonprofits. Colorado Gives Day is powered by ColoradoGives.org, a year-round, online giving website featuring nearly 1,500 Colorado nonprofit organizations.

Community First Foundation and FirstBank have partnered to present Colorado Gives Day since 2010. In addition to raising money, Colorado Gives Day raises awareness of the state's nonprofit sector, unites Coloradans in a common goal to strengthen the state's nonprofits, and educates communities on the benefits of online giving by making fundraising simple for nonprofits and easy for donors. To date, the program has distributed $58.1 million to Colorado nonprofits ($8.7 million in 2010, $12.8 million in 2011, $15.7 million in 2012 and $20.9 million in 2013). Colorado Gives Day is one of the most successful events of-its-kind in the nation.

2014's $1 Million Incentive Fund
To motivate donors to give on Colorado Gives Day, Community First Foundation and FirstBank partnered to create a $1 Million Incentive Fund. The incentive fund, one of the largest giving-day incentive funds in the country, proportionally increases the value of every dollar donated. For example, if a nonprofit organization receives 10 percent of the total donations made on Colorado Gives Day, that same nonprofit receives 10 percent of the $1 Million Incentive Fund. The 2014 Incentive Fund is 300 percent larger than last year.

"A $1 Million Incentive Fund is a very exciting way to boost generosity among Coloradans and support the nonprofit organizations in our state," said Marla J. Williams, president and CEO of Community First Foundation. "We are proud of Colorado Gives Day and grateful to the hardworking nonprofits and generous donors who turn a single 24-hour period into a huge community benefit.

"We are proud to continue to support Colorado Gives Day, especially as it has grown to be the state's largest online giving event," said John Ikard, CEO of FirstBank Holding Company. "Thanks to the enthusiastic participation of our citizens, Colorado Gives Day has become more than just a day. It is a movement that inspires and unites thousands of donors to support Colorado nonprofits."

Thanks to FirstBank, Colorado Gives Day also offers nonprofits the opportunity to win cash prizes to support their worthwhile causes. An additional $100,000 will be distributed to nonprofits through a Luck-of-the-Draw process.
