Help Stop Forced Arbitration

Did you know that corporations have found a way to cheat, steal, and defraud Americans without ever being held accountable for their actions? It's called forced arbitration.

Buried in the fine print of many bank and credit card terms of service (in addition to nursing home, employment, insurance and cell phone consumer contracts) are dangerous forced arbitration clauses that kick cheated consumers out of court and instead funnel them into a secretive dispute mill rigged in favor of Big Banks and predatory lenders. With forced arbitration, corporations have granted themselves a license to steal and evade the law. And they are getting away with it.

But with your help, this can be stopped. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) can revoke corporations' license to steal by stopping the abusive practice of forced arbitration.  This would be a significant step forward in our fight to end forced arbitration clauses in other areas, like nursing home contracts.

Join us in telling the CFPB to put Americans' financial security above Wall Street profits and stop forced arbitration. Sign the petition to the CFPB today!
L&P Files Case Against Chicago CILA
The sister of a former Chicago man filed a group home negligence lawsuit against the Anixter Center, one of Chicago's largest providers of services to people with disabilities, surrounding an incident at its community integrated living arrangement (CILA) group home in Chicago. The suit alleges that the victim's choking death was the result of negligence on the part of the Anixter Center caregivers. Attorneys Margaret Battersby Black and Michael Shanahan filed the suit on behalf of the family.  To read more about the lawsuit, click here .
