St. Petersburg Tribune: "Park and Walk" patrols aim to connect police, residents

St. Petersburg police officers are getting out of their cars and walking the streets in an effort to build a better relationship with residents. It is one of the changes new Police Chief Anthony Holloway said were coming when he took the job in August. Instead of patrolling in their cars, officers will spend more time walking through neighborhoods and talking to residents about what they see going on when police aren't there.
