What's the Scoop on Poop? An event for kids and families presented by CWC and RTPI, Saturday, June 20, 2015, 10:00 AM, Dobbins Woods Preserve, Ashville, NY | chautauquawatershed.org
This Saturday, we'll learn what information can be gathered from scat and how poop can impact our waters.

Kids love poop.

That's why CWC and the Roger Tory Peterson Institute have teamed up to put on a family event called "What's the Scoop on Poop?"

We invite you to bring the kids in your life and join us at our Dobbins Woods Preserve on Bly Hill Road in Ashville (Directions), where we'll talk about how valuable poop can be to biologists and what impacts it can have on our waters. Then we'll take a hike to find some scat!

This event is free and open to the public. Please be sure to dress for the woods and weather with long pants, waterproof boots, and insect repellent. Registration is requested but not required. To register, call the CWC at 716.664.2166 or email info@chautauquawatershed.org.

"What's the Scoop on Poop?" is part of our Watershed Defender Kids Club events series this summer. You can also mark your calendar for our Insect Adventure on July 25, and our Creek Caper on August 15! (You don't have to be a Kids Club member to attend these events!)

The Watershed Defender Kids Club teaches all kids everywhere how to love and care for their watershed. The club features a monthly email geared specially toward kids, written by our adoptable animals and the Watershed Defender himself. The emails include educational information teaching kids how to be Watershed Defenders, along with coloring pages, fun activities and even watershed-themed snack ideas! To sign up for free, visit our website at http://chautauquawatershed.org. We encourage parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and teachers to sign up!

We hope to see you at our Kids Club events this summer!

Let us know
you're coming
PS- If you think of someone else who might also be interested in our Watershed Defender Kids Club, please forward this email to them!
