global diplomacy . The diverse backgrounds of our guest speakers include job postings in Syria, China, Italy, London, and more. Their range of experience is sure to promote a fascinating discussion! 

We are honored to welcome the following Consuls General:

 
The Honorable Ulrike Ritzinger, Austria
Ulrike Ritzinger has served as the Austrian Consul General in Los Angeles since 2013. She began her international career as an attaché at Austria's embassy in Beijing, China. Previously, Consul General Ritzinger worked as a Counselor in Italy. Most recently, she served as the Deputy Diplomatic Advisor to Austria's President Dr. Heinz Fischer.


   
The Honorable Sylvia Ugalde Fernandez, Costa Rica
Sylvia Ugalde started her service as the Costa Rican Consul General in Los Angeles in 2012. She began her diplomatic career as Minister Counselor at the Costa Rican embassy in London, where she later served as Deputy Head of Mission. Previous to her current position, Consul General Ugalde served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in San Jose.
 

 
The Honorable Raife Gulru Gezer, Turkey
Raife Gulru Gezer assumed the role of the Turkish Consul General in Los Angeles in 2014. Much of her international postings have been in Europe and the Middle East. Consul General Gulru served as a Career Diplomat at the European Union Political Affairs Deputy Directorate and later as the Turkish Permanent Representation to the EU. In 2007, she was assigned to the Turkish Embassy in Damascus, Syria and left just one year before the conflict began. 


In addition, we are pleased to display an installation entitled International Women in Tennis: Breaking Barriers by Ronita Elder, Director of Diversity and Inclusion at the Southern California Tennis Association.
