Route & Service Updates:
Schedule Changes Effective Beginning January 11, 2015
Schedule and route changes planned for January will make getting to the Jetport and Amtrak Downeaster better, by adding more options and increasing service. In addition, schedule enhancements increase bus service to Outer Congress Street employers such as UNUM, adds transit options to the new DHHS/Career Center facility near the airport, includes easier-to-read schedules for commuters on the Westbrook's Route 4 and offers faster service from the Maine Mall to Portland.
METRO Route #1 will service the PTC (after Mercy at the Fore) and continue the loop via Fore River Parkway to Congress Street toward Munjoy Hill and the Eastern Prom.
METRO Route #4 schedule times have been adjusted for commuter convenience and ease of understanding. Service to Shaw's in Westbrook has been changed.
METRO Route #5 will add inbound service to the Jetport and the new DHHS/Career Center facility and increase service options to outer Congress Street locations. Access to the PTC is a short walk down Sewall Street to inbound/outbound stops along Congress Street.

We Need You!
Accessible bus stops are critical to our passengers. METRO has hundreds of bus stops located throughout our routes, so it can be challenging to keep them all clear of snow during the winter. We are looking for volunteers to keep bus stops shoveled and cleared of ice and snow. If you or someone you know, or possibly a service group that wants to help their community, can lend a hand, check out the Adopt A Stop website to learn more. Many Thanks!
