The Year of Giving
December 2014

Seasons Greetings! The Mutual of Omaha BREAKOUT Swim Clinic Team would like to thank you for your support in making 2014 a year of giving. It was a privilege to conduct over one-hundred events and meet so many wonderful people. A special thank you to those who gave your time, efforts, homes and pool decks to create lasting memories and defining moments.

In addition, we would like to recognize the giving attitudes of our clinicians. They're willingness to bring their memories, medals and mastery of the sport exemplify true champions. With all this wonderful giving, it made the "hap-happiest [swim clinic] season of all." But don't let the season end, we are now booking for 2015. Don't miss your chance to bring an Olympian to your team.

In the spirit of the giving holiday, we would like to leave you with some ideas for your swimmers interested in volunteering. The happiest swimmers are the ones who experience the joy of serving others and investing in their community. He is a list of ideas on a blog site that might be a helpful resource for your team. Volunteer Ideas During Holiday Season

BOOK OLYMPIAN 2015
Swim back to FUN
"Children cite 'fun' as the primary reason for participation in organized sport and its absence as the number one reason for youth sport attrition." The Fun Integration Theory proves that our clinicians are right on target with their messages to swim clubs. Josh Davis aka "Captain USA" and Matt Grevers aka "Viking Ragnar Lothbrok" do not shy away from bringing a ton of fun the decks.

It doesn't mean that practice will be easy but the pain seems bearable when you're enjoying the environment. If you're in a rut and wanting to spice up your season, let our Olympians come have fun with your team. It might be just what they need to have the best season yet.

Next Generation of Swimmers
Did you know that many of our clinicians are parents as well? This gives our Olympians a unique view of the parent-swimmer relationship. Hosting a swim clinic can be a great way to reinforce positive messages about pursuing excellence in-and-out of the water.

We want to congratulate, 4-Time Gold Medalist, Dana Vollmer who is pregnant with her first child. She'll be a gold-medal-mom.
Swim Family
For those of you who have been following swimming, you will notice that many of the athletes who host our events are training and racing well around the world. We would like to ask you to continue to support our National Team members. If there is a swim meet on TV, please consider watching it or recording it. We want the networks to know that our swim families value the television coverage. Please check usaswimming.org for information on upcoming events.

Also, if you know of a community who has not had an Olympian to their area encourage them to contact us. Below is a photo of Ian Crocker and Josh Davis visiting elementary schools in WY before their Mutual of Omaha BREAKOUT Swim Clinic. Some of these students didn't even know swimming was a sport and are now itching to get their parents to sign them up.
Dream it. Believe it. BREAKOUT!
Until we are back on your deck, best Swishes, Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas.
