Yesterday's Aggravated Robbery Suspect Now Arrested

Westlake Town Staff is happy to report that yesterday's aggravated robbery(carjacking) suspect has now been arrested.  Early this morning
Kenneth Sheets, a 37 year old Alvarado man, was apprehended after fleeing from Johnson County Sheriff's officers in a stolen vehicle and then on foot. Sheets remains in the Johnson County Jail with bail set at more than $90,000. His charges include Evading Arrest; two charges of Evading Arrest with a Vehicle; Theft of Property $500-$1,500; Theft of Property $1,500-$20,000; Burglary of a Habitation; Aggravated Robbery with a Deadly Weapon; and Fraudulent Use or Possession of Identifying Information.

Yesterday's incident in Westlake occurred at the Larry North Fitness At Solana, 2902 Sam School Road. Keller police said the suspect stole a Trophy Club resident’s vehicle at gunpoint around 2 p.m. Tuesday at the health club in our community. Sheets is also a suspect in a Southlake home burglary that occurred about 30 minutes before the aggravated robbery in Westlake, and a second carjacking a few hours later on the west side of Fort Worth.

Again we are very grateful the victim, a Trophy Club resident, was not physically harmed. We sincerly appreciate the quick response and incredible work of our Keller Police officers here in Westlake, as well as the other jurisdictions of Southlake, Fort Worth, Johnson County, and our regional 9-1-1 efforts - all working together to solve this case quickly, safely, and successfully.
