HART WEEKLY eBLAST  | MARCH 27, 2015

RAIL GUIDEWAY WORK ALONG FARRINGTON HIGHWAY PROGRESSING

Old Farrington Highway in Ewa between Kualakai Parkway and Old Fort Weaver Road Loop near Kahi Mohala is expected to be open in both directions by the end of April.

Within the next month or so, column and guideway work that has closed that stretch of highway for safety reasons should be wrapping up. Construction crews have been busy building the rail guideway over that portion of Farrington Highway.

HART's contractor will reopen the highway in the eastbound direction this weekend.  It has been closed to traffic in both directions on weekends during the month of March to accommodate the overhead guideway work.

Westbound Farrington Highway will remain closed 24/7 as crews continue their work on the elevated guideway in the area.  Eastbound lanes will be open from 5 a.m. through 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday.

Rail guideway work along Old Fort Weaver Road near Kahi Mohala will continue through this summer, prompting a short detour for drivers.

HART thanks motorists for their patience and understanding while this important construction work occurs.

For more information on lane closures along the rail route, see the Weekly Traffic Alert section below.
