Winter at Wild! Heart Refuge

From his porch, Tosh waits for the Wild! Kids to arrive!

In the Northern Hemisphere, Wild! Heart Refuge is deep in hibernation. Tosh, our trusted canine Animator, was out the other day at his familiar perch on the porch. I let him know that we still had four months to go before Wild! Kids Camp, but he was still hopeful. During camp season, Tosh likes to wait each morning on the porch for the kids to walk down the drive. He is best known for his compassionate snuggles and loyally following everyone all day around Wild! Heart Refuge. We think he enjoys Fairy Creek as much as the kids.

Winnie and Pooh
Winnie and Tigger, the Wild! Heart resident beehives

Unlike Tosh who is still out and about (even when it is -10 degrees Fahrenheit!), "Tigger" and "Winnie" have nestled in for the winter. The frames that the Wild! Kids built last July are holding pounds of honey that are feeding our beloved bees through this extra cold winter. We look forward to seeing them buzz about when the thaw comes.

In this moment, we are excited about all the early sign-ups for Wild! Kids Camp and the Artistry of Peace Revolutions Retreat that will be held here this July and August. If you have or know any kids or teens who might be interested or have questions, we welcome you to contact us.  Tosh can't wait to meet you!

Blessings and Peace All Ways,
