Busch Biomedical Grant Program 

The Office of Research and Economic Development is pleased to announce the 2015 Busch Biomedical Grant Program. At least $400,000 is expected to be available this year. The program is open to full-time faculty members in Camden, Newark and New Brunswick. Proposals are due by 5 p.m. March 20, 2015. Late applications cannot be accepted. More here.

Call for Reviewers

Are you interested in serving as a reviewer for the 2015 Busch Biomedical Grant Program? A dynamic peer-review process with capable and qualified reviewers is vital to the health of scientific research and the Busch Program. If you wish to volunteer, send a bio to [email protected].

Progress on RAPSS 

System testing is underway for the new Research Administration and Proposal Submission System (RAPSS) and user acceptance testing is scheduled to start March 20. Training materials are being developed and an experienced trainer has been hired. The system is being developed by staff with the Office of Research and Economic Development, Rutgers Office of Information Technology and the Huron/Click Commerce Group. Read more here.

Data Management Workshop Series at Library

As part of the libraries' regular Spring Data Services Workshop Series, three Data Management workshops will be presented by Ryan Womack, data librarian, and Aletia Morgan, research data manager at Rutgers University Libraries. The sessions, which all will run 1:40 to 3 p.m., will cover Best Practices for Managing Your Data  (Feb. 26); Data Management Plans, Data Sharing and Archiving (March 5); and Reproducible Research (March 12). More information about the Data Management Workshop Series is available here.

BIO 2015 International Convention

This year's BIO International Convention, one of the top annual meetings for the life sciences industry, is coming to Philadelphia June 15-18. Rutgers will play a prominent role in the New Jersey Pavilion and faculty members are invited to participate. ORED will cover fees for qualifying posters. Have a Solution to Help Deliver Health Care? Winning Team to Receive $50,000 Grant

Over the next four months, Rutgers students, faculty and staff will be able to form interdisciplinary teams and develop innovative technology or service model solution that have the potential to impact health outcomes and costs. The Challenge is open to all members of the Rutgers community, regardless of their prior participation in the Idea-thon. One winner will be selected to win the $50,000 in funding from The Nicholson Foundation for use in implementing their project in the Pilot portion of the competition.
