We are told to let our light shine, and if it does, we won't need to
tell anybody it does.
Lighthouses don't fire cannons to call attention to their shining - they just shine!

Remember your childhood? Many of us had imaginations that would change the world. Teachers would write on my post card that I day dreamed too much. I was a creative child with ideas and not necessarily about the yarn arts... about most things such as the best way to build a snow fort or maybe the right pieces of wood or rocks to build a dam in the ditch or even fun ways to cut grass which made it more exciting.
I would be playing with toys that experts determined on a box that I was too old for. For me, it was all about the story line in the creativity that derived in my head. Kind of made me feel like I was a dummy for liking something that I am not supposed to.
My parents in
vested in Atari in the early 80's. We had just a few games as they were $40 a game and back then wages were like $2 an hour. We savoured the games, especially in winter but I didn't have the satisfaction of the games like I did with crafts. At the end of the night I would have sweaty palms, tired eyes but I had nothing to show for my time.
Today, I don't enjoy video games on any level. For myself, I am hard on myself when my spare time doesn't count for much. I prefer to crochet to show that my time was worth something.
Easter is always a cute time of year to look back at the child that we once were, the things we did, the joy in being part of that Easter egg hunt, or maybe it was the cuteness and laughter that we brought to our families. I'm am happy that my parents allowed me to be who I am. They allowed creativity and they did the best they could do to make sure that I was loved and cared for. This is one of many things that I am grateful this Easter Season. May this season bring us back to our inner child and also to allows us to look forward to the future. Most importantly to remind ourselves of those that shared their love for us, so that we can be here today.

The Blue Lagoon Afghan Is Not Very Blue...

this.

Editor's Note: To be featured in our
Facebook Page
is purely like winning the lottery! It is always random and with such a wonderful page of MANY followers we do our best to include as many as we can when time allows us. Also Patterns might not be available. Be kind to those and please support each other by going to the 'recently post by others' page and give everyone a thumbs up or a positive comment. After all, we created this page to give you the chance to inspire others and to support each other with questions. Just like being in School show and tell was always the best time of the day. We love every one of these projects and hope you share that love with others as well.
