Team Formation Policy

A new Team Formation Policy is being instituted because of the difficulty in finding coaches at all levels.  Each team will have a maximum amount of players allowed to register in order to maximize the experience of the players and allow them adequate time to compete with accordance to our playing time rules.

Any additional players wishing to register will be placed on a waitlist.  If the participant is able to be added to a team, the parent/guardian will be contacted in order to process payment.  Players cannot participate until the program is paid in full. If there are enough participants and a coach, a second team will be added.

Football (22 players)

Volleyball (12 players)

Basketball (12 players)

4th/5th Soccer (16 players)

6th-8th Grade Soccer (18 players)

Please register your child as soon as possible to secure a spot and/or allow us to recruit more players and coach to form a second team.

Community Enrichment & Engagement
Cooking Matters
Cooking Matters is coming back this fall for a repeat performance!

The Cooking Matters program is a FREE six-week free cooking/nutrition program for teens. The program is offered through Collective Roots, a non-profit organization from East Palo Alto that seeks to "promote food justice by engaging youth and communities in garden-based learning and nutrition education to positively impact health". In each class, students learn two or three delicious and healthy recipes that they can take home to share with their families, and at the end of the six-week course, students get to take home a cookbook with the recipes they have learned.  The goal of the program is to teach our youth fundamental cooking skills and how to make healthy eating choices.

Class is open to students at Kennedy, MIT, Selby Lane and Roosevelt.

Fall Class: Registration Deadline:  September 25th, 2014
Tuesdays, 9/30-11/4
4pm-6pm at Red Morton

Spokes Bicycle Safety & Maintenance Program

Participants must complete an short essay on why they would like to be a part of this program and have good academic standing and behavior.  The primary goal of the program is to teach students bicycle safety and basic bicycle maintenance & repair. All students in the program will be given a new helmet, new bicycle lock, and a basic bicycle repair tool kit at no cost to the student. In addition, participants will become ambassadors of bicycle safety among their peers.
