For more information, please pick up our Story Time Brochure in the Children's Room or call us @ 516-6052. Registration beginning on Monday, April 27 @ 9:00am (by phone, in person or online) is required for "Toddlers" and "Mother Goose on the Loose" programs only:

No Registration is required for the following preschool groups:

Tuesday morning 10:00-10:45am

Paws for Reading

 

 

Murphy, a Certified Therapy Dog, and her
handler, Karen, will be in the Children's Room on:
Saturday, April 4 from 10:00-11:00am.  Sign up ahead of time to read to Murphy or drop by for a visit and a chance to read.

Library  Movies
Saturday Matinees are held in the Library Lecture Hall every Saturday @ 2pm. The schedule is as follows:

Lego Saturday and Bricks4kidz

 

Saturday, April 18, is Lego Saturday! Use our LEGOs or
bring your own to build and create. LEGOs will be

available all day. Meet new friends, share your building tips, get new ideas, work on a "Mystery Challenge", and have fun!


On Saturday, April 18, in addition to our LEGOs being
available all day for creative fun, Gordon Lubbers, owner of Bricks 4 Kidz®, will be here again from 10:00am-2:00pm with special architect/engineer designed, motorized model kits and instructions for kids to enjoy.

Artistic Happenings

Creation Station

Children of all ages are invited to make a paper bag "Bunny" anytime during the week of March 30  -  April 4. 

 

Children of all ages are invited to make a "Whirling Birdie" at the Creation Station in the Children's Room anytime during the week of April 27-May 2.

13th Annual Poetry Contest
The Dover Public Library is pleased to announce the 13th Annual Dover Public Library Poetry contest for grades K-12.  Prizes will be awarded in six different categories:  Grades K-2, 3 & 4, 5 & 6, 7 & 8, 9 & 10, and 11 &12.  Deadline for entry is April 15th. Students may pick up information about the contest at the Dover Public Library, any Dover school library, or at our website.  For more information about the contest please contact Denise LaFrance at 516-6082.

School Vacation Week

SEE Science Center's SEEMobile:

 

The SEE Science Center in Manchester is an interactive learning center established to promote the understanding, enjoyment and achievements of science, technology,
engineering and mathematics.

 

The SEEMobile, the Science Center's traveling demonstration program, will be at our library on Tuesday, April 28 at 9:30am. This lively 1-hour program will explore basic scientific principles using interactive demonstrations covering such topics as: combustion, chemical reactions, observations, polymers, problem solving, optical illusions, and recycling... some which go off with a bang!  

 

This free presentation is suitable for all ages from grade 1 to adult. All are welcome!For more information, call the Children's Room at 516-6052.

Drop-In Story Time

 

On Wednesday, April 29 @ 10:00am, Miss Tina will present a special drop in story time. All ages are welcome to attend.

LEGOS Day:

 

On Thursday, April 30 LEGOs will be available in the Children's Room all day to build and create. Come in and make new friends, share your building tips, get new ideas, try a "Mystery Challenge", and have a blast!
