PUTTING KINGDOM PRINCIPLES INTO PRACTICE ON EARTH
This is the theme for our annual Pastor's Conference to be held at ASELSI on April 17 & 18.  Each year we host pastors, church leaders, students and alumni of EBA and spouses for praise and worship, teaching and seminars.  We are expecting 500 attendees!

Prayer requests:
  • Finances for the conference.  ASELSI provides meals, housing, and conference materials.  There is a small registration fee for all who attend, but this does not cover all of the  expenses.
  • Wisdom and discernment for the main speakers and seminar teachers:

    • Carlos Romero
    • Jorge Rojas
    • Mike McComb
    • John Harvey
  • Spiritual annointing for the Praise Band, led by Carlos Romero.

Your Kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:10
Putting first things first

Happy Easter to All!
As we think about Easter and the price our Lord and Savior paid for our sins, it is good to reflect on our own personal commitment to Him. Am I indeed seeking Him and the Kingdom FIRST in every area of my life? I pray you will have a blessed Easter season and put First things First! Enjoy the first signs of Spring! Thank you for your giving and your prayers.

Blessings from Guatemala!

Good Things Come in Small Packages
High Quest Discipleship Program Conference, February 3 & 4

Pastor Miguel Angel Morales knew the people in his congregation were hurting he just didn't know why.    He longed for a chance to know more about the lives of the people he preached to every Sunday.  That opportunity came when God sent Chuck Worstell and Bill Penkethman of Columbia, Missouri to Guatemala with the Navigator's Discipleship Program.  For the past several years Chuck and Bill have shared the program's strategy of developing relationships within several churches located in the mountains of Guatemala.  Small groups of men and women wanting to develop a more personal relationship with God and each other have sprung up.  This month many of those small groups joined together to become a large group of nearly one hundred pastors and lay people. For the first time the

ASELSI Discipleship Ministry held its conference on ASELSI grounds.  For the first time the conference was lead by Guatemalans.  Please continue to pray for Pastor Miguel Angel Morales, Pedro Ajanel, and others like them as they lead in this effort to teach the people of Guatemala that God's spirit truly resides in the lives of His followers.

The Lord gives sight to the blind...

Psalm 146:8

It has been said, "the only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision".  It has always been a vision of ASELSI to offer treatment to Guatemalans with eye problems.  For the past several years Dr. Jim Gamble of Columbia, Missouri has been holding eye clinics at ASELSI while giving away glasses to hundreds of needy people, and training our staff to help with this. But glasses can only do so much.  Starting this year Dr. Julio DeLeon of Guatemala City has expanded ASELSI's ministry in this area by offering free cataract extraction surgery and other simple eye surgeries, to be done in ASELSI's Father's Heart Clinic.  The plan is for Dr. DeLeon to visit Chichi every three months and help people like 71 year old Jose Morales Chicoj, Dr. DeLeon's first patient at ASELSI.  Please remember to pray for Dr. DeLeon as he joins the effort here at ASELSI to not only help people see their world more clearly but more importantly to see their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
