CANADIAN BOCCIA CHAMPIONSHIPS

Come out and experience the exciting game of boccia at the Canadian Boccia Championships! Taking place March 5 to 8 at the Abilities Centre in Whitby, boccia is a game of skill, accuracy and strategy that is open to athletes with disabilities. With roots in ancient Greece and 16th century Italy, it's a sport that is now enjoyed worldwide!

OPG SECOND SUNDAYS

Colour has the power to brighten your mood and inspire so many facets of the creative spirit! Join in the celebration of colour this month by participating in OPG Second Sundays-The Festival of Colours! On March 8, at The Robert McLaughlin Gallery, experiment with warm and cool colours to make kites, mobiles and fun prints!

Travel back in time with historic and enlightening characters for a sweet Clarington tradition--the Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority's Maple Syrup Day! On March 28, tour the sap collecting route and visit the sugar shack before creating crafts, having your face painted, and playing pioneer games. Then, settle in for some live music while you enjoy a pancake feast. Admission is $12 per adult and $6 per child (16 and under).

WOMEN OF AVIATION

Girls take flight! On March 7, girls and women of all ages are invited to take free introductory flights as part of the Women of Aviation event, taking place at Enterprise Airlines in Oshawa. This free event provides aviation and aerospace career and sector related exhibits, motivational speakers, hands-on activities, and more. Be sure to pre-register!

Enjoy an evening of artistry, music and delicious local beer at the Old Flame Brewery on March 10! Canvas Corks & Cocktails invites you to channel your inner Da Vinci as you learn to paint a masterpiece, with the help of talented, local artist Birgitta Macleod. Tickets cost $40 online ($45 at the door) and this event seats just 25 people, so be sure to book your spot today!

SPRING CONCERT

Celebrate the arrival of spring with the bright, delightful sounds of the dynamic Whitby Brass Band! The Spring Concert is taking place on March 27, and is a time-honoured tradition in Whitby that can be enjoyed by music lovers of all ages. Admission is $15 per adult, and $10 for both seniors and students.
