LUNAR NEW YEAR
Happy Year of the Goat!

A TRIBUTE TO LANI LUTHARD
The Legacy of a D3 Leader Continues

It is with a heavy heart that we pay tribute to Lani Luthard, a champion of San Jos and a powerful advocate for breast cancer prevention, who passed away on February 5, 2015. A Naglee Park resident, Lani first hosted LUNAFEST, a fundraiser and traveling film festival by, for, and about women in a neighbor's home in 2008. Since then, the festival has grown and raised significant donations for the Breast Cancer Fund and other charities. "Lani worked hard to help residents navigate through the City's processes and greatly impacted the community," says her close friend Rhonda Hadnot.  Lani's legacy continues on through her family and the work of LUNAFEST. Please visit Lunafest.org to learn more about ways to prevent breast cancer.
