Sportsmanship in Action!

Good sportsmanship is the cornerstone of any successful youth sports program. Thank you to our athletes, scorekeepers, coaches, parents, and officials for bringing sportsmanship to the forefront of our program.

Pride Rock Wrestling Success

Our Pride Rock Wrestling partnership offers a year-round K-8th Wrestling Program that brings children from all over Redwood City together to learn the great sport of wrestling.  In addition to the twice a week instruction, Pride Rock members travel throughout the Bay Area to weekend youth wrestling tournaments to compete.  Our wrestlers gain great exposure to other wrestling communities and put their skills to the test.

PE+ Success Story

As we enter the 3rd year of our PE + program (serving Garfield, Henry Ford, Hawes, and Selby Lane), our coaches have become part of the fabric of each school that we serve.

Every coach has had experiences that will touch your heart, as they passionately take on the challenge to increase the fitness levels of the children in our community.

At Henry Ford School, there is one such student who has seen tremendous growth as a result of participation in PE+.

Please read about One Extraordinary Student and share in our success!

Spokes Bicycle Maintenance and Safety Program:

Meet Instructor Rene Trujillo

As SPOKES travels from site to site, we have been so encouraged by the excitement of the participants and their eagerness to learn.  With his passion for teaching and for bikes, Rene Trujillo plays an integral role in our program success, as students cannot wait until Thursday's SPOKES class.  In Rene's ten plus years of working with children, he has yet to meet a child who does not enjoy bike riding. Rene learned to fix his own bikes with the help of his brothers when they were in elementary school. He believes there is no better feeling than being able to fix something on your own and this program instills that value in the children that participate.

The SPOKES program teaches children not only how to repair their own bikes, but how to ride safely and responsibly on the road.

Congratulations to the Taft School participants for completing their SPOKES course.

Next stop... Henry Ford!
