Last Chance to Take the Southeast Alaska Business Climate Survey

If you haven't yet, please take a moment to take our regional business survey. This survey is for everyone, and will only take a few moments of your time. To the 400 of you who have already completed it - thank you. We have respondents from 25 Southeast communities so far. But the more responses we have, the more valuable these results become. Make sure that your community or industry is well represented in the survey.
Southeast Alaska Farm & Fish to Schools Conference
Highlights
We had a fantastic conference, with 130 attendees from across the region and state to discuss how we can improve & localize our Southeast  Alaska food systems.

The Farm and Fish to Schools Conference was filled with high energy, excitement, inspiring individuals, and stories from all sectors of our food system including: educators, school food service coordinators, cooks, wild food harvesters, commercial cultivators, processors, fishermen, traditional foods experts, waste and recycling experts, health professionals, advocates, researchers, economic development specialists, and  community leaders. Over the  two days of the conference, the room buzzed with enthusiasm and eagerness to hear what speakers shared.
You can find a full report on the conference here.

Lemonade Day is Coming Soon!
June 13, 2015
Lemonade Day in Southeast Alaska is coming up on June 13th. The mission of Lemonade Day is to empower today's youth to become tomorrow's entrepreneurs.
Back packs are available at Wells Fargo Bank in
Downtown Juneau. Register online to see where they are in your area.

Lemonade Day is a fun, free experiential learning program that teaches youth how to start, own and operate their own business...a lemonade stand! Each year youth around Southeast Alaska take to the streets of their communities to open their lemonade stands, and put the business skills they have learned into practice.
