2014 Residential Real Estate Market Report
Nearly 5,000 homes sold in Hinds, Madison & Rankin Counties
JACKSON, MS (January 23, 2015)--According to the 2014 Annual Market Heartbeat, 4,957 homes were sold in Hinds, Madison & Rankin Counties last year. Although this number represents a 0.8 decrease from 2013, the median sales prices have increased by 3.9 percent to $159,000 for the same period. Homes averaged 98 days on the market and sold for 95.5 percent of their listing price. Housing inventory bottomed out to only 2679 units available at the end of the year.
